Remote Sensing Australia can undertake spontaneous combustion (SponCon) detection and monitoring using the latest airborne thermal imaging technology. Our airborne thermal camera system can measure minute temperature changes at the surface caused by coal burning underground.
Our imaging system will not only detect new areas of spontaneous combustion, but also monitor changes over time to areas of known combustion. We can provide a complete solution of ongoing monitoring, reporting and even ground validation if necessary.
We have already undertaken numerous spontaneous combustion detection flights for leading mining companies in Australia, and are keen to offer this service more widely.
